A Growing Legacy: The Gursidak Foundation’s Ongoing Journey
In December 2020, the Gursidak Foundation began its journey with four eager students in Nangal Dam, Punjab, a dream, and a purpose. The founders had a vision of lighting up young minds through education, and their mission soon spread like wildfire. Starting with weekend classes, they aimed to provide children with opportunities for a brighter future. Their dedication knew no bounds, and gradually, the weekend classes transformed into six sessions a week. They believed in making education an everyday experience. Initially, students struggled to attend regularly, their dreams obscured by life’s challenges. The Foundation’s unique teaching styles, engaging athletic meets, and a myriad of captivating activities rekindled the spark of curiosity. The children now attended willingly, embracing learning as an adventure. But the Foundation’s impact extended beyond the classroom. They realized that parents played a crucial role in a child’s educational journey. The Foundation reached out to families, instilling the importance of education, and parents became active partners in their children’s growth. The Gursidak Foundation’s story was not just about numbers; it was a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance. With over 100 volunteers and interns joining the cause, the Foundation now shines in seven cities across India, a beacon of hope and opportunity for countless young souls. And now we are in 7 cities and the journey continues!
